Asia Cup 2023 schedule OUT: Quest for Cup #8 begins in INDvPAK style
It’s ODI Cup season in 2023, and there is no better way for India to warm up for the grand carnival of cricket - ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 - than the latest Asia Cup. So, c’mon PALTAN!!!!! Make sure you SAVE THE DATES!
The 16th edition of the continental championship will see us set on a quest for a record eighth crown against arch-rivals Pakistan and Nepal in Group A.
As you may have guessed, the BOX-OFFICE showdown against Pakistan is our first checkpoint on the road to title eight. The signature clash is scheduled for September 2 at Kandy. If you remember the last time the teams faced in the ODI version of the tournament, our HITMAN hammered an unbeaten century.
When do we play Nepal? Two days later. This will be the first official meeting between the teams in the 50-overs format, but make no mistake, the Rhinos have bagged 15 wins in 37 ODI matches (overall) since earning an ODI status in 2018. Expect fireworks!
What is the format of Asia Cup 2023 then? After the six league games between the three teams in Groups A and B, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 4s round. Thereafter, the top two teams will battle for bragging rights in the Asia Cup 2023 final.
