— Mumbai Indians (@mipaltan) September 24, 2025
First 3 Overs ➡ 17 Runs
Last 3 Overs ➡ 55 Runs
India recorded 72/0, their highest powerplay score in this edition of the tournament, before Shubman (29 off 19) lost his wicket in the seventh over.
Hardik’s knock ensures a respectable total
Once Abhishek Sharma’s excellent 37-ball 75 knock came to an end courtesy of an unfortunate run out in the 12th over, the scoring rate arguably declined. Bangladesh pulled things back in the middle overs, taking wickets at regular intervals.
Nonetheless, HP held the fort at one end and finished at 38* as India posted 168/6 in their quota of 20 overs.
BOOM strikes early
A rare off day in the previous match didn’t deter Jassi from going about his business as usual. 🤙
He got the better of opener Tanzid Hasan in the second over itself, much to the delight of the fans! Moreover, the right-arm pacer kept the run rate in check throughout the powerplay, concluding with 3-0-17-1, including a staggering 13 dot balls.
Spinners spin the momentum
For a brief period after the first six overs, Bangladesh batters collected a few boundaries, pushing India on the backfoot.
Thereafter, the Kuldeep-Axar-Chakaravarthy trio got their side back in the mix. From 65/2 to 87/5 in 12.3 overs, the game stood evenly poised.
Even though Saif Hassan’s blitz continued to put pressure, the lack of support at the other end worked in India’s favour. 👌 Kuldeep Yadav starred yet again, claiming 3/18 in his four overs.
Ultimately, the Men in Blue bagged the deserved W, bowling the Bangla Tigers out for 127 to advance to the summit clash. C’monnnnnnnn!!! 🇮🇳
