Go Legend! Kaptaan Harmanpreet Kaur clocks 300 international matches

By Mumbai Indians

That young 20-year-old in 2009 who immediately set the international stage on fire, has now knocked off another significant milestone. Longevity is perhaps the ultimate cricketing metric, and our Mumbai Indians’ Kaptaan Harmanpreet Kaur, now has 300 international games under her belt.

Five Tests: Test cricket has been few and far between in the women’s sport, but the crowning glory came in the 2023-24 season, where she led India to back-to-back victories against the touring English and Australian sides.

130 ODIs: Well, you simply cannot look beyond her 171* here, can you? Against the mighty Aussies, in a World Cup semi-final, her whirlwind century brought in a whole new audience into women’s cricket in India.

165 T20Is: From her exploits in the Commonwealth Games, to her century against the Kiwis in 2018, to some brilliant middle-order batting against the Aussies in the previous edition of the T20 World Cup, Harman’s clean hitting has a fanbase of its own. Her ability to strike them big from ball one, and then go into monster Sup-Harman-Thor mode is just the stuff of dreams!

On May 6, 2024, in the fourth T20I against Bangladesh, she clocks 300. In a World Cup year, she already looks like she’s on a mission to end India’s trophy drought. Paltan, let’s get together in celebrating our champion!
