11.09 PM IST: That's STUMPS ON DAY 1 - 72 players sold, INR 467.95 crore spent. 💰

Whatttttaa pricey day for the cricket enthusiasts & everyone involved behind-the-scenes <including the admin> alike. The record for the most expensive buys in IPL history tumbled twice, with Rishabh Pant (INR 27 crore) now proudly heading the list.

A host of cricketers found new suitors while a handful of them returned to the sides who they featured for the 2024 season as well. All-in-all, a terrfic day comes to a close with a promise for an even better Day 2. BRING IT ONNNNNN!

7.54 PM IST: Ishan Kishan comes in and we don't bid for him?? IMPOSSIBLE! However, we go up till INR 3.2 crore and then retreat. Our former pocket dynamo joins SRH for INR 11.25 crore.

Don't worry guys, warm-up horela hai!
