Pollard power unleashed to nullify Badree hat-trick (2017)

On 14th April 2017, Bengaluru witnessed a classic batting show… as POTM Kieron Pollard slammed a brilliant 70 (47), including three boundaries and five maximums. He eventually helped MI cross the winning line by 4 wickets, chasing 145/6 in 18.5 overs. In a game where RCB had momentum with Samuel Badree’s hat-trick, KP ensured MI had the final say.

Ro-hitman’s royal knock seals the deal for MI (2018)

Mumbaicha Raja and POTM Rohit Sharma, ensured Mumbai Indians won handsomely by 46 runs on 17th April 2018 at Wankhede. Batting first, we notched up 213/6 in 20 overs as our superhero smashed a statement knock of 94 in just 52 balls, aced with 10 fours and five sixes. In reply, RCB stumbled and were reduced to 167/8.

MI win a last-ball thriller at Bengaluru (2019)

POTM Jasprit Bumrah delivered a masterclass with (3/20), which eventually helped us win a thrilling contest versus RCB on 28th March 2019. Yorkers, nerves, and precision…Paltan witnessed it all. Earlier, batting first, MI made 187/8 in 20 overs courtesy great knocks from Rohit Sharma 48(33) and HP’s cameo of 32*(14) brought everyone on the edge of their seats.

The Malinga magic that worked wonders at Wankhede (2019)

15th April 2019, saw POTM and yorker king Lasith Malinga garner a four-wicket haul, (4/31) as RCB were reduced to 171/7 in 20 overs. MI eventually won a close contest chasing down the target with six balls to spare at home. Earlier, Quinton de Kock anchored the innings with a good 40, while our Kung-Fu Pandya exploded with a cameo knock of 37*(16).

It was domination at its best from MI at Wankhede on 9th May 2023 as we secured a six-wicket victory with 21 balls to spare chasing down RCB’s 199/6. It was videogame mode on, as Surya launched six maximums into the stand for fun, and eventually ended with 83(35) and a SR-237.14. He was thus rewarded with the POTM award.
