By Mumbai Indians

Read it in Hindi.

Read it in Marathi.

It has been a while but it’s time for another matchday as we take on the Gujarat Titans in our 10th league match of Tata IPL 2022 on May 6th at the Brabourne stadium!

We won our first game this season in our last outing against RR and the team is full of confidence and itching to get on the field, hoping for a similar outcome.

GT is a new team so we have no previous experience of playing them, although in their captain Hardik Pandya, we will be up against a familiar face.

A second-consecutive win will certainly give us the momentum that the think-tank has been emphasizing on.

Players to watch out for

GT captain Hardik Pandya has been in-form, having scored 309 runs in the nine matches he has played and he is their highest run-getter.

Leg-spinner Rashid Khan has bowled economical spells while pacer Lockie Ferguson has consistently clocked speeds of over 150 kmph.

For us, youngsters Tilak Varma and Hrithik Shokeen have been in good form - Tilak has contributed crucial runs in the middle overs while Hrithik has been economical and picked the first wicket of Jos Buttler - his first in the Tata IPL - in the previous game.

Surya scored his third half-century of the season in the win vs RR and is key to our middle-overs acceleration.

Boom has been his menacing self while Tim David took us over the line in the last game, and Kumar Kartikeya Singh weaved a web around the RR batters in his debut game.

Upcoming milestones

Big man Tim David is just two runs away from completing 2000 career T20 runs.

Pacer Dan Sams needs six wickets to reach the 100-wicket mark in T20s.

It’s a big match against the in-form GT and we are sure it will be an exciting contest to watch. Let’s get our cheers on!
