Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English School sailed to a comfortable 8-wicket victory over St. Mary's High School SSC, Mazgaon in an MI Junior Boys’ Under-16 super knockout (last 16) clash in Mumbai on Friday.

Opting to field first, Parle Tilak dismantled St. Mary's for 152 runs, with Vedant Gurav (4-22) doing the bulk of the damage. Parle Tilak then strolled to victory in 21.4 overs, thanks to unbeaten half-centuries by Yashas Ganiga (68* off 58) and Sachirth Poojari (63* off 55).

Meanwhile, in a Boys’ Under-14 league fixture in Mumbai, Shaurya Yadav (227 off 99) slammed an outstanding double ton to guide Kanchan High School, Nallasopara to a colossal total of 465/4 against The Blossoms S.T. English School.

Shaurya then shone with the ball too (3 for 6) to bowl out The Blossoms S.T. English School for a miniscule 79 runs.

In another match in the same category, Arnav Dere (7 for 25) was the architect of Rizvi Springfield High School, CBSE, Khar’s downfall, bundling them out for just 129 runs. In response, opponents Swami Vivekanand International School, Borivali sealed the win in 17 overs, courtesy of an unbeaten 79 by Harshit Bobade.

Elsewhere, Krishna Ghadigaonkar (85 off 80 and 3-21) starred with bat and ball to drive IES School, Bhandup to a convincing 80-run win over Holy Cross High School, Mira Road in another Boys’ Under-14 league fixture.

Batting first, Krishna propelled IES to a challenging total of 184 in 40 overs, before showing his skills with the ball to knock over Holy Cross for 104 runs.
