MI Junior 2026: Jasnoor Kaur’s Hat-trick Propels R.R Education Trust to Dominant 9-Wicket Victory

In what turned out to be a heavily one-sided affair, R.R Education Trust triumphed over St. Aloysius High School by a towering 9-wicket victory in a league match of the Mumbai Indians Junior Under-15 Girls Interschool Cricket Tournament 2026.

After opting to bat first, St. Aloysius High School kept losing wickets at an alarming rate and were eventually bundled out with just 64 runs on the board. Poonam Pichad’s accurate and economical bowling saw her pick up 3 crucial wickets upfront, cementing R.R Education Trust’s hold on the game. However, the protagonist of the first innings was Jasnoor Kaur Virdi as she picked up a hat-trick which consisted of 3 clean bowled dismissals. It was due to the immaculate bowling of Jasnoor Kaur Virdi that St. Aloysius High School were unable to get any momentum going.

With just 65 runs required for victory, R.R Education Trust raced to a commanding victory as they chased the target down before the completion of 4 overs and with 9 wickets to spare, as Nivedi Jaitpal (22 n.o) emerged as the top-scorer.

In another contest of the Girls U-15 category, Modern English School thumped IES High School by a demolishing 374-run victory.

After winning the toss, Modern English School amassed a staggering 395 in their stipulated 20 overs. The batting side saw contributions from numerous players as 3 of them crossed the fifty-run mark. (Sarah Khatri 53, Pragati 52, Triyana Rane 50).

In response, IES High School were bundled out quickly for just 21 runs as Pragati capped an exceptional all-round effort, scalping 3 wickets while receiving admirable support from Sharayu Mane, who ended the match with incredible figures, bowling 2 maidens and picking up 2 wickets.

R.R Education Trust annihilated St. Aloysius High School to register a pulverising 9-wicket victory. In the first innings, Poonam Pichad struck thrice in the initial overs and was later supported by a hat-trick by Jasnoor Kaur Virdi, thereby bowling St. Aloysius High School for merely 64 runs. R.R Education Trust made mockery of the target as they chased it down inside 4 overs to conclude a well-deserved win.

2. Modern English School (Chembur) vs IES High School (Navi Mumbai)
Modern English School decimated IES High School by a domineering margin of 374 runs. Batting first, Modern English School were powered by half-centuries by Sarah Khatri (53), Pragati (52) and Triyana Rane (50). After posting a daunting 395/7, Modern English School bundled IES High School for merely 21 runs as Pragati backed up her fifty with a 3-wicket haul.
