Nagpur: Tons Galore as Shri Rajendra High School Triumph Twice

In what turned out to be a heavily one-sided contest, Shri Rajendra High School dominated proceedings to thump Reliance Foundation School to register a towering 378-run victory in a league match of the Mumbai Indians Junior Under-16 Boys Inter School Cricket Tournament 2026.

After being put into bat, Shri Rajendra High School got off to a flyer as their openers forged a dominant 224-run opening stand before Yugansh Shahare was dismissed for 60. The hero was the match however, was Samarth Namsani who went on to score an impeccable double century worth 202 runs as he toyed with the bowlers with ease and unleased a flurry of scintillating strokes. Another half-centurion emerged in Raunik Hedau (77) as Shri Rajendra High School posted a daunting total of 428 runs at the completion of the first innings.

In response, Reliance Foundation School lost wickets at an alarming rate and were eventually bundled out for just 50 runs as Veer Donode tore through the batting with a clinical 5-wicket haul.

In the Girls U-15 Category, Shri Rajendra High School pulverised Delhi Public School to such an extent that the latter conceded the match before the completion of the first innings.

Batting first after winning the toss, Shri Rajendra High School showed an aggressive intent from the first delivery as they got to a flyer with a colossal 298-run opening stand between Mukta Hinge and Gunjan Taywade. Both the openers went on to score centuries as Mukta Hinge was eventually dismissed for 107, while Gunjan Taywade remained unbeaten on 143 runs.

After the completion of 14 overs, Shri Rajendra High had already posted a daunting 332 runs on the board, with Gunjan continuing the onslaught even after Mukta’s dismissal. It was at this stage that Delhi Public School decided to concede the match and save themselves from further humiliation.

1. Snehal Public School vs Centre Point School (Wardhaman Nagar)

Snehal Public School marched past Centre Point School to register a comprehensive 6-wicket victory. In the first innings, Centre Point School lost wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 106 runs with Saksham Salunke emerging as the top-scorer with a gritty knock worth 29 runs. Chasing a target of 107, opener Amrit Rauniyar’s unbeaten knock of 49 runs guided Snehal Public School to a comfortable 6-wicket win.

2. The Royal Gondwana Public School vs Delhi Public School

The Royal Gondwana Public School thrashed Delhi Public School as they recorded a stellar 10-wicket victory. Opener Aarjav Jain was the only batter who made any impact in the first innings as he scored 48 runs before Delhi Public School were bundled out for 130 runs. In response, both openers, Siddharth Namsani (60 n.o) and Ronit Rathi (52 n.o) went on to score half-centuries as their unbeaten opening stand propelled The Royal Gondwana Public School to a well-deserved win.

3. Centre Point School (Seminary Hills) vs Bhavan BP Vidya Mandir

Centre Point School thumped Bhavan BP Vidya Mandir to register a commanding 9-wicket win. After opting to bat, Bhavan BP Vidya Mandir were bowled out for just 54 runs as Centre Point School skipper Faizan Syed led from the front, claiming a clinical 6-wicket haul. In the second innings, Faizan Syed backed up his immaculate bowling to finish as the top-scorer, remaining unbeaten on 37 to cap off an exceptional all-round performance.

4. Podar International School vs School of Scholars

Podar International School triumphed over School of Scholars by a commanding 7-wicket victory. Batting first, School of Scholars were bowled out for 52 runs as Shree Shahane picked up an impressive 5-wicket haul. With just 53 runs required, Podar International School cruised to a convincing victory as Rudraksh Kapgate’s unbeaten knock worth 24 runs sealed a well-deserved win.
