Manit Vijan, Rishi Mody, Aarush Thakur, Shubham Palai and others produced match-winning performances for their respective teams in the ongoing MI Junior inter-school cricket tournament on Friday.

Manit Vijan and Rishi Mody starred in Dhirubhai Ambani International School’s thumping 306 run win against St. Xavier’s High School (Virar) in a Boy's under 16 match.

Manit's unbeaten century (120* off 110) led Dhirubhai Ambani International School to a commanding total of 349 runs. St. Xavier’s were then bundled out for 43 runs, with Rishi (6-3) being the chief destroyer.

Elsewhere, Aarush Thakur’s 138* and Nehal Meher's 6 for 16 guided Tarapur Vidya Mandir, Palghar to an emphatic 228-run win against SVP High School (Mira Road) in a Boy's U-16 match. Sahil Khan also contributed with bat and ball, scoring 83 runs and taking 3 wickets.

Shubham Palai's brilliant 4-3 led  IES New English School to nine-wicket win over Lok Puram Public School, Thane, who were bowled out for just 25 runs in a Boy's U-16 match.

In another Boy's U-16 match, Chauhan Tanveer (3-16) and Mahboob Alam's (3-23) superb bowing effort helped Al Barkaat Malik Muhammad Islam English School thrash St Francis Xaviers School, Kanjur Marg by 10 wickets,

Singh Sunny Bakar's unbeaten 56 helped Al Barkaat team to chase the target of 112 comfortably without  losing any wicket.

Riding on Jay Tolia's unbeaten half-century (74*), JAMNABAI NARSEE SCHOOL, JUHU thrashed Anjuman-I-Islam Mustafa Fakih Urdu High School, Turbhe  by nine wickets in another Boy's U-14 match. Before Tolia's innings,  Ansh 3-15 helped  Jamnabai Narsee bowl out Anjuman-I-Islam team for 109 runs.

Ishaan Khandelar's superb unbeaten century (152*) led Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane to 173 run win over VIBGYOR ROOTS AND RISE (MALAD), who were bowled out for 114 runs in a Boy's U-14 match.

Meanwhile, Vihaan Sheth's all-round show ( 71 and 3-25) led Bombay Scottish School, Mahim to  156 run win over Ryan International School, Kharghar in another Boy's U-14 match.
