Skipper Bumrah arrives!! Full list of all MI players who have captained their national side

By Mumbai Indians

The T20 caravan for India continues for one last stop midway in 2023 - Ireland. But wait! There is a new captain on the hot seat. The name? Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah.

Is this Bumrah’s first time as captain? Nope, we have seen him don the captain’s cap before. He stepped up for Ro-Hit Sharma in a rescheduled ENG vs IND Test in 2022 and played a pivotal role in the record 35 runs in a Stuart Broad over.

This experience saw Boom Boom graduate and join an exclusive club of MI players - led by Sachin Tendulkar - to have had the honour of leading their national team in one or multiple formats of cricket.

Paltan, as we prepare for his first captaincy assignment in a multi-match series, let’s revisit the MI stars and their memorable moments as international captains.
