During their stay here, the team will be training at The Oval - Sheikh Zayed Facility in Abu Dhabi for the first time since their victorious IPL 2020 campaign in November last year. The first session was an evening one, starting off at 6.30 PM local time (8 PM IST) and training into the time when the lights came on.
The team got into the groove with players like Ishan Kishan, Saurabh Tiwary and Anmolpreet Singh batting away in the nets, and Dhawal Kulkarni, Jayant Yadav and Piyush Chawla rolling their arms.

Mumbai Indians’ Director of Cricket Operations, Zaheer Khan, was very much present at the training session. He was seen interacting with youngsters and handing them a tip or two. Fielding coach James “Commander” Pamment was in full swing too, taking charge of the training and beginning with a motivational speech.
“One thing that’s non-negotiable is the fielding. I’ve got a loaded plan for you guys for the next six sessions which will get you to where you need to be. If you do not come and see me tonight if you’re scheduled to do some fielding, I’ll be following you and we’ll be doing it downstairs when we get back,” Pamment said.
