The girl from Mangaldai has put Assam on the map, becoming the first player from her state to be bought in the WPL. Jintimani Kalita’s cricketing journey began with her accompanying her brother to training, before grabbing the ball herself and turning into an opening quick bowler. This was back in 2016, and over the next few years, she steadily grew in stature to play for the Assam senior team and for India B in the Under-19 Women’s Challenger Trophy in 2021. In 2022, she was among the top 25 u-19 cricketers called up by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for a high-performance camp.
