Dominant India look to continue the good run
The second T20I between India and England at Ahmedabad treated us with some great batting from Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli, leading to a seven-wicket win for the hosts.

The battle between the No.1 and No.2 T20I sides is set to get more intense. Going into the third T20I with the series level, both teams will look to gain the upper hand and put pressure on the opposition.
Ahead of the third T20I in Ahmedabad, below are a few points of interest.
Rohit Sharma might be back in the playing XI
After being rested for a couple of games, we may see Rohit Sharma back on the field. The last time Hitman featured in a T20I, was in the five-match series against New Zealand last year where he scored a couple of half-centuries.
Ishan Kishan’s good first impression
With Kishan blasting off to a 32-ball 56, his first stint in the Indian camp has been everything that every youngster dreams about. His near-perfect batting execution in his debut game has made a solid statement as to why he belongs to the playing XI.
Special player. Special knock. 💥

Kohli finds his form
After a string of low scores, captain Virat Kohli loosened some muscles in the second T20I against England to score 73* (49) and take India across the line with a six.

The ace Indian batsman finding his form is the good news the Indian line-up needed after a dull show in the first game of the T20I series.
Consistent starts from Jason Roy
With scores of 49 (32) and 46 (35), English opener Jason Roy has ensured steady starts for his team in both games.

Getting Roy’s wicket early might be India’s key to destabilise the English batting order quickly.
Mark Wood’s place is the playing XI
The English pacer warmed the benches in the second T20I despite being tight on the runs in the first game. His numbers from the first T20I read 4-0-20-1.
Tom Curran, who replaced him for the second T20I, went for 26 runs in 2 overs without picking up any wickets. For this reason, it would be interesting to see if Wood would be back in the playing XI.
The third T20I between India and England is set to take place at 7 PM IST on 16th March, 2021.
