Match Preview, MI vs DC: Looking to end the season on a high
Read it in Hindi.
Read it in Marathi.
We started the Tata IPL 2022 season against the Delhi Capitals and we will end our season against them at our home ground, the Wankhede stadium on May 21st.
The numbers are too close to call as we have won 16 of our 31 encounters against Delhi thus far, while they have come out on top in the other 15.
Our opponents also have a 3-2 record against us in our last five games.
DC had gotten the better of us in our first game of the season and a playoff spot is on the line for them, so this is set to be a tough match.
Players to watch out for
Aussie all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been in red-hot form for DC, having hit two consecutive half-centuries.
Opener David Warner has given the team rapid starts while also batting for long periods to amass 427 runs and is DC’s top-scorer.
Spinner Kuldeep Yadav has also been a consistent threat for DC, having taken 20 wickets this season.
On our side, Tim David has been hitting it with the middle of the bat everytime he has walked out and Ramandeep Singh bowled a superb spell for three wickets in our previous game.
Skipper Rohit Sharma and fellow opener Ishan Kishan have given the team good starts while Jasprit Bumrah, Riley Meredith and Daniel Sams have all come good with the ball.
Upcoming milestones
Captain Ro is just one boundary away from completing 900 fours in T20 cricket. He also needs 20 more runs to get to 5000 runs for us.
With a fifer under his belt already this season, Boom could get to 150 wickets for us if he repeats that feat.
It’s our final game of the season, Paltan, so let's cheer at our loudest, make it a memorable one at home and sign off on a high!
